life lately

I'm the worst blogger ever. I don't ever update this, but in the craziest season of my life I wanted to reflect on some things that have been going on!

Shauna Niequist recently came to Judson and talked to all of student leadership about the Enneagram test. It is a personality assessment that has rocked my world! As I was sitting listening to all of the types, Shauna arrived at the enthusiast, or 7. As she began to list off various characteristics of the 7 my coRA's are looking and giggling at me in agreement. Some things that really hit home with me were enthusiasts are better starters than finishers, they tend to have excessive personalities and are over scheduled. Um hello, that's my life. Enthusiasts tend to be all about the experience. They want to eat, play, shop and go. They're exuberant and like to make things fun. I found the test extremely helpful and I'm excited to see how this information can make me a healthier person!

Last Tuesday I began my last semester at college. I can't believe how fast the time has gone and I'm both excited and sad for it to be coming to an end. There are so many exciting things in my future and I'm ready to be out of this stage of busyness. I can't imagine what life will be like when I am only working. It will be so great to have time to do things that I love, connect more with friends and family and to just have down time. I'm also trying to be present in what I am doing here at Judson and this time of life. I am setting short term, achievable goals.

On to the fun. So everyone tells you that planning a wedding is one of the funnest things ever. Let me be completely honest. Planning a wedding is stressful, exhausting and there are very fun parts. There are some things that I really like about wedding planning and some things I wish I could hire someone to just do it for me. Honestly the biggest problem is that I have a million other things going on in my life. I've had this reoccurring nightmare that it's the week before the wedding and NOTHING big is done. I don't have my dress. I don't have the centerpieces done. Nothing. Luckily it is just a nightmare. But I have loved doing all the research and dreaming. I am planning a lovely, romantic, summer wedding in June. The dresses are going to be lavender and the tuxes/suits will be gray. We have the most amazing photographers in the world and are going to take pictures with them in SAN DIEGO!!! in a few weeks for our engagement shoot!

Lots more wedding updates to come! Check out our wedding website we made!
